Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

When you submit a form, call our office, or work with our team, we collect information you provide directly. That includes name, phone number, email address, property address, and any project details you share. When you visit yardmastersrva.org we also collect standard analytics data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring source.

2. How we use it

We use your information to:

• Respond to estimate requests and contact form submissions
• Schedule and conduct property walks and project work
• Send invoices, contracts, and customer communication
• Improve our website, marketing, and operations
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Who we share it with

We don't sell customer information. We share data only with vendors that help us run the business, including our customer-management software, accounting and payment processors, and email service providers. We also share information when required by law.

4. SMS and text messaging

If you provide your mobile number and agree to be contacted by text, for example by submitting a form on this website or a YardMasters Meta lead-form ad, you consent to receive text messages (SMS) from YardMasters related to your service request, including appointment confirmations, scheduling, follow-ups, and occasional service reminders or seasonal offers. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.

• No mobile data sharing. Mobile information collected for SMS, and consent to receive text messages, will not be shared with or sold to any third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
• Message frequency. Message frequency varies, typically 1-4 messages per month.
• Rates. Message and data rates may apply.
• Opt out anytime. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at info@yardmastersrva.org or 804-744-4733.

You can confirm or update your communication preferences anytime at yardmastersrva.org/stay.

5. Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and measure traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Three services are used, and we name them so you can decide about each one.

• Google Analytics 4. Measures how many people visit, which pages they reach and which of those visits become an estimate request. It does not receive your name, phone number or email address. Google's own privacy terms apply, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google's browser add-on.
• Microsoft Clarity. Records how pages are used, which includes mouse movement, scrolling and clicks, so we can see where a page is confusing. Clarity masks text you type into form fields by default. If you would rather not be recorded, Clarity respects your browser's Do Not Track setting.
• Meta Pixel. Tells Meta when a visit that started from one of our Facebook or Instagram ads reaches the estimate form, so we can tell which ads work. This sends an event to Meta, and if you are logged into Facebook or Instagram, Meta can associate that event with your account. That is how ad measurement on Meta works, and it is the reason it is written here rather than left implied.

None of the three are used to make automated decisions about you, and none of them decide what you are charged. You can block all three with any standard content blocker and the website still works.

6. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect customer data with technical and organizational safeguards. No internet transmission is 100% secure, but we follow industry-standard practices.

7. Data retention

We retain customer information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. In practice that means:

• Estimate requests and the consent you gave with them: four years. Text-message consent records have to be kept for the length of the claim window, and deleting them early would remove the evidence that you agreed.
• Text message logs: four years, for the same reason.
• Website analytics: fourteen months, which is the Google Analytics default.

You can ask us to delete your information before any of those periods end and we will, except where we are required to keep a record. Email info@yardmastersrva.org and say so plainly. We will confirm when it is done.

8. Your rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at info@yardmastersrva.org. We may verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

9. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The "Last Updated" date reflects the latest version.
